On May 20, the Faculty of Environment successfully organized a council to accept the basic scientific research project at Hue University in 2020 led by Mr. Le Cong Tuan chaired.
Title: Study on the use of antibiotics in white leg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) culture in the sandy area of Thua Thien Hue province
Implementation period: 2 years (2020-2021)
The main results achieved of the project:
– Surveyed the situation of using antibiotics in whiteleg shrimp farming on sand, assessing the situation of vibrio infection in shrimp ponds;
– Isolated 3 strains of vibrio causing disease in shrimp and evaluated the level of resistance to antibiotics of these vibrio strains.
